3. How do I receive care?
After your effective date, call the dentist
you have been assigned to or the one that you have selected and tell the office that you have Medicaid coverage. They will schedule you for an appointment to see the dentist.
4. What if I need to change Dentists?
You may change your dentist at any time by
choosing a new dentist from the directory
supplied to you at the time of enrollment or by
clicking on the "View Provider Locator" link above
under number 2 for the most current list of dentists.
5. Dental Benefits
Children - Covered services include exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride, fillings, extractions, and other services.
For a detailed listing of all covered dental
services, please review the Member Handbook you
received at the time of enrollment, or by contacting MCNA's Member Services
Department at 1-800-494-6262.
6. Specialty Care
When a specialist's care (Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery or Endodontics), is needed, you may be referred by your participating General Dentist.
7. Canceling Appointments
Since time set aside for a patient is very valuable to the dentist, it is requested that you notify the dental office at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot keep an appointment.
8. What if I have a problem or complaint?
We hope that you never have a problem or
complaint, but if you do, we want to hear
about it. Just refer to page 13 on the Member
Handbook you received at the time of
enrollment, or call the MCNA Member Services Department, which is staffed with specially trained representatives. This is one more way we can ensure that you receive the best possible care and service. Call 1-800-494-6262.
