  1. How do I join the MCNA Provider Network?

  2. Will I be required to join all plans accepted by MCNA Dental Plans if I sign up to join the provider network?
    You can choose to join only the plan(s) you prefer. Please include a letter stating your preference with your credentialing application. The letter must be on your official letterhead and state which plan you wish to join.
  3. What is MCNA's Online Provider Portal?
    MCNA offers an Online Provider Portal. It is a great all-in-one tool. Our Online Provider Portal allows you and your office staff to complete many tasks with ease, including:
    • Submit and view claims
    • Submit and view pre-authorizations and referrals
    • Verify member eligibility
    • View EOBs
    • Download manuals and documents
    • And much more!
    You can begin using the Provider Portal as soon as you get your credentialing letter from MCNA. You will be able to easily create an account to access the portal. Click here to access the Portal homepage.
  4. How can I verify a member's eligibility?
    Our member ID cards clearly state which plan a member is enrolled in. Contact our Member Services Department with any eligibility questions. You can also easily verify a member's eligibility through our Online Provider Portal.
  5. How do I submit claims, pre-authorizations, and referrals to MCNA?
    There are three ways to submit claims to MCNA Dental:
    1. Through the MCNA Online Provider Portal.
    2. Through an electronic clearinghouse.
    3. By mailing a completed ADA claim form (2012 or newer) to:

    There are three ways to submit pre-authorizations to MCNA Dental:
    1. Through the MCNA Online Provider Portal.
    2. Through an electronic clearinghouse.

  6. I am a Primary Care Dentist and my member needs to see a Specialist. How will I know which dentist participates with the member's network?
    Please submit a referral request to MCNA's Utilization Management (UM) Department. Our UM Department will find a provider within the member's network who can see them. You can also find a specific in-network Specialist in our Online Provider Directory.
  7. We are an Orthodontic office with patients in varying stages of their treatment. Will we be able to continue their treatment without interruption?
    You will be able to continue treatment with members currently receiving their care from you. Your office will need to complete our Continuation of Care form for each of those members.
  8. Where can I find the latest news from MCNA?
    MCNA posts important news and announcements on the News and Events page of our website. Updates that only affect our Providers and Dentists are available once you log in to our Online Provider Portal.
  9. Where can I download my Provider Manual?
    To download your Provider Manual and other important documents, log in to our Online Provider Portal and click the "Support and Downloads" tab.
  10. How do I contact MCNA if I have questions or need help?

  11. How does MCNA pay providers?
    Providers are paid based on a fee schedule.
